President Ulysses S. Grant signed into law the first national park. Yellowstone became the first National Park in the world on March 1st, 1872. A couple of hours down the road is the 310,000 acres called the Grand Teton National Park. Both are beautiful and very diverse with features like mountains over 13,000 feet and geothermal features found nowhere else. Three elk walk a Ridgeline at sunrise in Yellowstone.
