Base ball was played in Chattanooga in the 1860s and again in 2022. Yesterday a strong wind and cool temperatures could not stop Vintage base ball between The Lookout Mountain Vintage Base Ball Club and Lightfoot Club of Chattanooga from playing at the Polo field in Fort Oglethorpe GA. The matches were supported by the 6th Cavalry Museum. The rules and language are different from the modern-day game, but the excitement of the opening day was there.
